This list is a guide for shop owners, not tax advice. Rates and codes change, and the right code depends on the exact item. Confirm each one with your CA before you print it on a bill.

Where shops go wrong

  • Plain glass and toughened glass are different codes. Float glass is 7005. Once it is toughened or laminated it is 7007.
  • Sections and finished windows are different codes. A length of section is 7604. A made-up door or window frame is 7610.
  • Supply with fitting. When you supply and fit at a site, the bill may be treated as a works contract with its own code and rules. This is the one to ask your CA about before you fix a format.

How KC Billing handles HSN

Each item carries its own HSN and GST rate, so 5 mm float glass and 12 mm toughened glass print the right code without you thinking about it. The bill shows an HSN-wise tax summary at the bottom.
